TALI collects licensing fees from entities that make use of creative works represented by TALI. These licensing fees are distributed and paid as royalties to the members at several dates throughout the year. Every distribution of royalties refers to creative works broadcast in the respective time period, subject to the required protection of copyrights.
The license fees that TALI collects from users are distributed as a “Royalty Pie”. Each creator slice of the Royalty Pie’s is determined according to various parameters which are detailed in the ‘TALI Repertoire Definition Doc’ including the length of the work, time of broadcast, frequency of broadcast and genre. Each “slice” represents a monetary value that is transferred, at the end of the process, to the authors.
Once payment is made directly to the creator’s bank account an email is sent with the detailed payment report.
